Ellie Beagle: Therapy Dog
Like the Ace Attorney games but with a therapist instead of a lawyer and dogs instead of people.
Originally developed as part of the capstone project for my Masters in Game Design program, Ellie Beagle: Therapy dog is point-and-click visual novel style puzzle game starring freshly licensed therapy dog Ellie Beagle. Join Ellie on her quest to becoming the best therapy dog she can be by helping her canine clients with their puppy problems.
Ellie's Story
I met Ellie October 6, 2013 at an adoption event in northern Virginia. She was 5 years old, positive for Lyme and just finished heartworm treatment. She had been found as a stray, but it was pretty clear she'd been used as a puppy mill momma. She was dusty from The Farm that had been fostering her, and when she laid her hear on my chest it was over. She was perfect. We had found each other.
Day one she was my beagle baby, and during the 8 years we had together she earned her AKC Canine Good Citizenship certification, passed therapy dog school, brought joy to countless people at the assisted living facility and the mental health facility we visited, welcomed my first human kiddo into the world, fostered a litter of puppies, wore the cutest sweaters, and was always the very best girl.
This game is dedicated to her and all of the other fur babies who have crossed the rainbow bridge.
